Project Social Responsibility

Project Social Responsibility

One of the defining attributes of being human is our responsibility to one another.  We should be kind everyday, but it is more than that.  We must reach out and share ourselves with people, especially people with less ability than us.  We must preserve our environments for one another.   We should do these things voluntarily and without the expectation of reciprocation.

I will categorize blogs regarding my volunteerism as “Project Social Responsibility.”

I welcome you to use this forum to share your volunteer organizations and offer volunteer opportunities or ideas.

  1. Such an amazing thing to see blind people ride a snowboard down a hill. Your willingness to help everyone is something purely unique, I wish everyone was like you.

    • What a nice thing to say! Thank you for the compliments. The organization I guide for is called Discovery Blind Sports and we operate mostly out of Kirkwood, so if you ever make it out to Kirkwood check us out!! Next thing we want to do is get a blind snowskate program going!
      Thanks again for reading!

  2. Hello Kendra,

I’ve been Riding bi-decks for about 6 years now and I can finally afford a Ralston this season but I heard that The guys had an Issue and that they no longer have a press. I wandered if you had any idea whats going on with that? Or if you had a way to find out for me. I was looking forward to checking out the new mini deck they had displayed on their web page but last i looked everything on the site said “sold out”. Anyway. No biggie. From the looks of it I wont get to do much backyard sk8n anyway but lets keep our fingers crossed. Pray for snow. Or beg… ;-)

  3. By the way….. Love the video. When they get good enough to ride on their own i think they should have some type of sound device that locates objects and different terrain. That would be cool!
